Finac Services: IFSC, Bank, GST and PAN Lookups
Separate from any specific client's dashboard, Finac includes a small set of standalone lookup tools under Services — quick ways to verify a bank branch, a GST registration, or a PAN without leaving Finac or searching a government portal by hand. This article covers all four.

Opening Services
Services sits in the main left-hand navigation, separate from the Clients List — it isn't tied to any one client. Open it to see four tools, each on its own card: Search IFSC, Bank Account Info, GST Info, and Verify PAN.
Search Bank IFSC Code
Enter any Indian bank branch's IFSC code and Submit to get back its full branch record — useful for confirming a vendor's or customer's bank details before you rely on them.

Bank Account Verification
Bank Account Info verifies that a specific account number is real and active at a given IFSC branch — a penny-drop style check rather than a public registry lookup. Enter the Account Number and IFSC Code and Submit to confirm the account before you rely on it for a payout or a vendor record.
Note: Because this check verifies a live bank account, it needs a genuine account number and IFSC pair to return a result — there's no sample lookup to demonstrate here the way there is for IFSC, GST, or PAN, which query public registries instead.
GST Info
Enter any GSTIN and Submit to pull that business's current GST registration record — trade name, registered address, jurisdiction, registration type and date, and current status.

- Use this before onboarding a new vendor or customer, to confirm their GST registration is genuine and currently active rather than cancelled.
- The Nature of Business field lists every business activity category the registration covers — useful context beyond a simple valid/invalid check.
Verify PAN
Enter a PAN and Submit to confirm whether it's valid, along with the registered name and category (individual, company, and so on) associated with it.

Do these lookups use my own client data, or a public registry?
IFSC, GST Info, and Verify PAN all query public government and banking registries — you can look up any business or bank branch, not just your own Finac clients. Bank Account Info is the exception: it verifies one specific, real account, so it needs a genuine account number to check.
Can I use Services to check a vendor before adding them to a client?
Yes — GST Info and Verify PAN are both well suited to a quick due-diligence check before onboarding a new vendor or customer master record.
Why did my GST or PAN lookup come back with no result?
Double-check the number for typos first. If it's correctly formatted and still returns nothing, the registration may not exist or may have been cancelled.
